Abstract

The article analyzes the most famous work of the encyclopedic scholar Akhmad Tashkuprizada – “Ash-shaqāʾiq an-nuʿmāniyya fī ʿUlamāʾ ad-Dawla al-ʿUthmāniyya”. It also provides a detailed discussion of the history of the work’s composition, its relevance for its time, internal structure, translated versions, and its influence on the formation of scientific worldview.
